The pre conference
workshops of CREATE and SYNERGY take place at Hasselt University
in Belgium. Hasselt is located at a distance of 30 km’s from
Maastricht.
The CREATE and
SYNERGY
workshops start on Sunday 12 August and finish on Tuesday 14
August 2007 in the afternoon. During the
workshops participants will stay in hotels in Hasselt.
On Tuesday
afternoon, participants will be transferred to Maastricht by bus.
Please note, when registering for the EHPS conference, to book
hotel accommodation from Tuesday 14 August 2007.

Advanced Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis

Participants:
The maximum number of participants is 25. In the case of
over-registration, priority will be given to EHPS members.
Prerequisites:
Participants in the workshop must have conducted some work with
Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). This could be
either:

attended an introductory IPA workshop, either at EHPS or
elsewhere,
-
conducted at least one IPA interview
People with more experience are also very welcome. Participants
are encouraged to bring their data to work on during the workshop.
This will be organized through email exchange beforehand.

Fundamental Qualities of Qualitative Research: Epistemology,
Ethics, Reflexivity, and Interpretation.

Content:
This workshop will focus on improving the quality of qualitative
research practice by examining the fundamental assumptions
underlying practice, and exploring how these impact on research
practices and practical ways in which these can be incorporated
into a qualitative project, regardless of the specific methodology
adopted.

There will be a limit of 25 participants. In the case of
